Empowering learners
As part of a commitment to empowering every learner to serve and enrich our changing world, Corpus Christi College in Bateman has implemented a 1:1 laptop program for all middle school students. The College believes that technology can play a central role in efforts to achieve crucial learning goals and that it will be an essential component in the further improvement and transformation of schools.
Revolutionising language learning
Kolbe Catholic College Japanese language teacher, Noburo Hagiwara, has been recognised nationally for his innovative work in integrating ICT into the teaching of language. Excited by the possibilities of digital technology for allowing students to engage with learning in a range of ways, including outside the classroom, Noburo implemented the use of the iPod Touch in the language classroom at Kolbe.
Robotics at Mel Maria
The award-winning robotics team at Mel Maria Catholic Primary School in Attadale is a group of engineers and software programmers in the making – students who tackle challenging problems with ingenuity, determination and a highly-advanced use of technology.
